Acquisition of Weak BDS Signal in the Lunar Environment

Autonomous navigation using the GNSS has been increasingly used in lunar exploration missions, as it is considered an efficient method for spacecraft to operate without relying on ground facilities. However, so far, only GPS and Galileo have studied implemented whereas potential of BDS-3 such missions remains largely unexplored. This paper presents analysis evaluation service capabilities at altitudes by utilizing existing satellite resources orbit. In detail, we investigate number signals received low orbit (LLO) receivers, well carrier-to-noise ratio (C/N0), Doppler shift, geometric dilution precision (GDOP) signal. Additionally, a digital intermediate frequency (IF) signal simulation program emulate BDS B1I utilized, which allows freely set ratio, code phase. Based this framework, discussed high-sensitivity receiver validated its performance with simulated signals. We verified coherent integration, non-coherent differential semi-bit methods detect weak environment. The results indicate that integration still capable acquiring C/N0 15 dB-Hz can effectively suppress data bit sign transition.
